Ibn Numayr told us: al-A'mash informed us, from 'Amr ibn Murrah, from Abu al-Bakhtari, from Abu Sa'id al-Khudri, who said: The Messenger of God (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Let none of you belittle himself when he sees a matter concerning which he has something to say for God's sake, yet does not say it. Then God will say: 'What kept you from speaking about it?' He will say: 'Lord, I feared the people.' Then He will say: 'I am more deserving to be feared.'"
