حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو النَّضْرِ حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدٌ يَعْنِي ابْنَ طَلْحَةَ عَنِ الْأَعْمَشِ عَنْ عَطِيَّةَ الْعَوْفِيِّ عَنْ أَبِي سَعِيدٍ الْخُدْرِيِّ عَنْ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ إِنِّي أُوشِكُ أَنْ أُدْعَى فَأُجِيبَ وَإِنِّي تَارِكٌ فِيكُمْ الثَّقَلَيْنِ كِتَابَ اللَّهِ عَزَّ وَجَلَّ وَعِتْرَتِي كِتَابُ اللَّهِ حَبْلٌ مَمْدُودٌ مِنْ السَّمَاءِ إِلَى الْأَرْضِ وَعِتْرَتِي أَهْلُ بَيْتِي وَإِنَّ اللَّطِيفَ الْخَبِيرَ أَخْبَرَنِي أَنَّهُمَا لَنْ يَفْتَرِقَا حَتَّى يَرِدَا عَلَيَّ الْحَوْضَ فَانْظُرُونِي بِمَ تَخْلُفُونِي فِيهِمَا.
انگریزی ترجمہ
Abu al-Nadr told us, Muhammad — meaning Ibn Talhah — told us, from al-A'mash, from Atiyyah al-Awfi, from Abu Sa'id al-Khudri, from the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, who said: "I am about to be called and to respond, and I am leaving among you the two weighty things: the Book of Allah, Mighty and Sublime, and my kindred. The Book of Allah is a rope extended from heaven to earth, and my kindred are the people of my household, and the Subtle, All-Aware has informed me that they will never separate until they meet me at the Pond. So watch how you treat them after me regarding these two."
