حَدَّثَنَا عَبْد اللَّهِ، حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو كُرَيْبٍ الْهَمْدَانِيُّ، حَدَّثَنَا مُعَاوِيَةُ بْنُ هِشَامٍ، عَنْ سُفْيَانَ الثَّوْرِيِّ، عَنْ جَابِرٍ، عَنْ سَعْدِ بْنِ عُبَيْدَةَ، عَنْ أَبِي عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ، عَنْ عَلِيٍّ، رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ كَانَ يَصُومُ يَوْمَ عَاشُورَاءَ وَيَأْمُرُ بِهِ.
انگریزی ترجمہ
It was narrated from `Hadrat Ali (may Allah be well pleased with him) that the Beloved Messenger of Allah (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) used to fast on the day of `Ashoora’ and enjoined others to do so.
