Mu'awiyah ibn Qurrah said: 'When Iyas was born to me, I invited a group of the Companions of the Prophet (peace be upon him) and fed them. They made supplications. I said: You have made supplications — may Allah bless you in what you have prayed for. And I will make a supplication, so say Ameen. He said: I made many supplications for him regarding his religion, his intellect, and so on. He said: I can see the effect of that day's supplication in him.'
