737/957(صحيح)عن أبي العالية؛ البراء، قال: مر بي عبد الله بن الصامت، فألقيت له كرسياً، فجلس، فقلت له: إن ابن أبي زياد قد أخر الصلاة، فما تأمر؟ فضرب فخذي ضربة- أحسبه قال: حتى أثر فيها – ثم قال: سألت[خليلي/954]أبا ذر كما سألتني فضرب فخذي كما ضربت فخذك، فقال:[أتيت النبي صلى الله عليه وسلم بوضوء، فحرك رأسه، وعض على شفتيه! قلت: بأبي أنت وأمي، آذيتك؟ قال:" لا ولكنك تدرك أمراء – أو أئمة- يؤخرون الصلاة لوقتها". فقلت: فما تأمرني؟ قال: ]" صل الصلاة لوقتها ؛ فإن أدركت معهم فصل، ولا تقل(وفي رواية: ولا تقولن): قد صليت، فلا أصلي".
انگریزی ترجمہ
Abu al-Aliyah, al-Bara', said: Abdullah ibn al-Samit passed by me, and I laid out a chair for him, and he sat. I said to him: 'Ibn Abi Ziyad has delayed the prayer. What do you advise?' He struck my thigh — I think he said: until it left a mark — then said: 'I asked [my close companion] Abu Dharr the same question you asked me, and he struck my thigh just as I struck yours.' He said: '[I came to the Prophet (peace be upon him) with water for ablution. He shook his head and bit his lip! I said: By my father and mother, have I offended you? He said: "No, but you will live to see leaders — or rulers — who delay the prayer beyond its time." I said: What do you command me? He said:] "Pray the prayer at its proper time. If you then find them [praying], pray with them and do not say (in another narration: do not say): I have already prayed, so I will not pray."'
