Abu Hurayrah said: The people were caught in a wind on the road to Makkah while Umar was on Hajj, and it was severe. Umar asked those around him: 'What is the wind?' They could not answer anything. So I urged my camel and caught up with him. I said: 'I was told you asked about the wind. I heard the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) say: "The wind is from the spirit of Allah; it brings mercy and it brings punishment. So do not curse it, but ask Allah for its good and seek refuge from its evil."'
