650/842(صحيح)عن جابر قال: ولد لرجل منا غلام، فسماه القاسم، فقالت الأنصار: لا نكنيك أبا القاسم، ولا ننعمك عيناً، فأتى النبي صلى الله عليه وسلم، فقال له ما قالت[الأنصار]. فقال النبي صلى الله عليه وسلم:" أحسنت الأنصار؛ تسمّوا باسمي، ولا تكتنّوا بكنيتي؛ فإنما أنا قاسم".
انگریزی ترجمہ
Jabir reported: A boy was born to one of us, and he named him al-Qasim. The Ansar said: We will not give you the kunyah Abu al-Qasim, and we will not delight your eyes with it. He went to the Prophet (peace be upon him) and told him what the Ansar said. The Prophet said: 'The Ansar have done well. Name yourselves with my name, but do not take my kunyah, for I am only a distributor.'
