حَدَّثَنَا مُسَدَّدٌ، حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الْوَاحِدِ بْنُ زِيَادٍ، حَدَّثَنَا عُمَارَةُ بْنُ الْقَعْقَاعِ، عَنْ أَبِي زُرْعَةَ بْنِ عَمْرِو بْنِ جَرِيرٍ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ، قَالَ قَالَ رَجُلٌ لِلنَّبِيِّ صلى الله عليه وسلم يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ أَىُّ الصَّدَقَةِ أَفْضَلُ قَالَ " أَنْ تَصَدَّقَ وَأَنْتَ صَحِيحٌ حَرِيصٌ تَأْمُلُ الْبَقَاءَ وَتَخْشَى الْفَقْرَ وَلاَ تُمْهِلْ حَتَّى إِذَا بَلَغَتِ الْحُلْقُومَ قُلْتَ لِفُلاَنٍ كَذَا وَلِفُلاَنٍ كَذَا وَقَدْ كَانَ لِفُلاَنٍ " .
انگریزی ترجمہ
Hadrat Abu Hurayrah (may Allah be well pleased with him) narrates that a man submitted to the Noble Prophet (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him): O Beloved Messenger of Allah (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him), which charity is the most excellent? He (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) stated: The charity you give while you are healthy and covetous, hoping for a long life and fearing poverty. Do not delay until the soul reaches the throat and then you say: Give such-and-such to so-and-so and such-and-such to so-and-so, when it has already become the property of so-and-so.
اردو ترجمہ
حضرت ابوہریرہ رضی اللہ تعالیٰ عنہ فرماتے ہیں کہ ایک شخص نے نبی اکرم صلی اللہ تعالیٰ علیہ وآلہ وسلم کی بارگاہ میں عرض کیا: کون سا صدقہ افضل ہے؟ آپ صلی اللہ تعالیٰ علیہ وآلہ وسلم نے ارشاد فرمایا: وہ صدقہ جو تم صحت و تندرستی کی حالت میں کرو جب کہ تمہیں مال کی حرص ہو، زندگی کی امید ہو، اور فقر و محتاجی کا اندیشہ ہو۔ یہ نہیں کہ اسے ٹالتے رہو یہاں تک کہ جب جان حلق میں آ لگے تو کہنے لگو: فلاں کو اتنا دے دینا اور فلاں کو اتنا، حالانکہ وہ مال اس وقت تک فلاں کا ہو چکا ہوتا ہے۔
