حَدَّثَنَا سُلَيْمَانُ بْنُ حَرْبٍ، وَمُسَدَّدٌ، قَالاَ حَدَّثَنَا حَمَّادٌ، عَنْ هِشَامِ بْنِ عُرْوَةَ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، عَنْ عَائِشَةَ، أَنَّ حَمْزَةَ الأَسْلَمِيَّ، سَأَلَ النَّبِيَّ صلى الله عليه وسلم فَقَالَ يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ إِنِّي رَجُلٌ أَسْرُدُ الصَّوْمَ أَفَأَصُومُ فِي السَّفَرِ قَالَ " صُمْ إِنْ شِئْتَ وَأَفْطِرْ إِنْ شِئْتَ " .
انگریزی ترجمہ
It is narrated from Umm al-Mu'minin Hadrat Aisha (may Allah be well pleased with her) that Hadrat Hamzah al-Aslami (may Allah be well pleased with him) submitted to the Noble Prophet (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him): O Beloved Messenger of Allah (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him)! I am a man who fasts continuously; should I also fast during travel? The Beloved Messenger of Allah (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) stated: "Fast if you wish, and break your fast if you wish."
اردو ترجمہ
حضرت اُمّ المؤمنین عائشہ صدیقہ رضی اللہ تعالیٰ عنہا سے روایت ہے کہ حضرت حمزہ اسلمی رضی اللہ تعالیٰ عنہ نے نبی کریم صلی اللہ تعالیٰ علیہ وآلہ وسلم سے عرض کیا: یا رسول اللہ! میں مسلسل روزے رکھنے والا آدمی ہوں، کیا میں سفر میں بھی روزہ رکھوں؟ آپ صلی اللہ تعالیٰ علیہ وآلہ وسلم نے ارشاد فرمایا: "چاہو تو روزہ رکھو اور چاہو تو نہ رکھو۔"
