حَدَّثَنَا الْقَعْنَبِيُّ، عَنْ مَالِكٍ، عَنِ ابْنِ شِهَابٍ، عَنْ سُلَيْمَانَ بْنِ يَسَارٍ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ عَبَّاسٍ، قَالَ كَانَ الْفَضْلُ بْنُ عَبَّاسٍ رَدِيفَ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم فَجَاءَتْهُ امْرَأَةٌ مِنْ خَثْعَمَ تَسْتَفْتِيهِ فَجَعَلَ الْفَضْلُ يَنْظُرُ إِلَيْهَا وَتَنْظُرُ إِلَيْهِ فَجَعَلَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم يَصْرِفُ وَجْهَ الْفَضْلِ إِلَى الشِّقِّ الآخَرِ فَقَالَتْ يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ إِنَّ فَرِيضَةَ اللَّهِ عَلَى عِبَادِهِ فِي الْحَجِّ أَدْرَكَتْ أَبِي شَيْخًا كَبِيرًا لاَ يَسْتَطِيعُ أَنْ يَثْبُتَ عَلَى الرَّاحِلَةِ أَفَأَحُجُّ عَنْهُ قَالَ " نَعَمْ " . وَذَلِكَ فِي حَجَّةِ الْوَدَاعِ .
انگریزی ترجمہ
Hadrat Abdullah ibn Abbas (may Allah be well pleased with them both) narrated that Hadrat al-Fadl ibn Abbas (may Allah be well pleased with them both) was riding behind the Beloved Messenger of Allah (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him). A woman from the tribe of Khath'am came seeking a religious ruling from him (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him). Hadrat al-Fadl began looking at her and she began looking at him, so the Beloved Messenger of Allah (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) kept turning the face of al-Fadl to the other side. She said: O Beloved Messenger of Allah (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him), the obligation of Hajj that Allah has enjoined upon His servants has found my father as a very old man who cannot sit firmly on a mount. May I perform Hajj on his behalf? He (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) said: Yes. This incident took place during the Farewell Pilgrimage.
اردو ترجمہ
حضرت عبداللہ بن عباس رضی اللہ تعالیٰ عنہما فرماتے ہیں کہ حضرت فضل بن عباس رضی اللہ تعالیٰ عنہما رسول اللہ صلی اللہ تعالیٰ علیہ وآلہ وسلم کے پیچھے سوار تھے، اتنے میں قبیلہ خثعم کی ایک عورت آپ صلی اللہ تعالیٰ علیہ وآلہ وسلم سے فتویٰ پوچھنے آئی، حضرت فضل اس عورت کو دیکھنے لگے اور وہ فضل کو دیکھنے لگی، تو رسول اللہ صلی اللہ تعالیٰ علیہ وآلہ وسلم حضرت فضل کا چہرہ دوسری طرف پھیرنے لگے۔ اس عورت نے عرض کیا: یا رسول اللہ! اللہ تعالیٰ کے اپنے بندوں پر حج کا فریضہ نے میرے والد کو بوڑھا پایا ہے، وہ سواری پر جم کر نہیں بیٹھ سکتے، کیا میں ان کی طرف سے حج ادا کروں؟ آپ صلی اللہ تعالیٰ علیہ وآلہ وسلم نے ارشاد فرمایا: ہاں۔ اور یہ واقعہ حجۃ الوداع میں پیش آیا۔
