حَدَّثَنَا عَلِيُّ بْنُ حُجْرٍ، حَدَّثَنَا إِسْمَاعِيلُ بْنُ جَعْفَرٍ، عَنْ حُمَيْدٍ، عَنْ أَنَسٍ، أَنَّهُ قَالَ آلَى رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم مِنْ نِسَائِهِ شَهْرًا فَأَقَامَ فِي مَشْرُبَةٍ تِسْعًا وَعِشْرِينَ يَوْمًا قَالُوا يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ إِنَّكَ آلَيْتَ شَهْرًا فَقَالَ " الشَّهْرُ تِسْعٌ وَعِشْرُونَ " . قَالَ أَبُو عِيسَى هَذَا حَدِيثٌ حَسَنٌ صَحِيحٌ .
English Translation
Hadrat Anas (may Allah be well pleased with him) narrates: The Beloved Messenger of Allah (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) took an oath to stay away from his blessed wives for a month, and he stayed in an upper room for twenty-nine days. The Companions submitted: O Beloved Messenger of Allah (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him), you had taken an oath for a month. He (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) stated: "The month can be twenty-nine (days)." Imam Tirmidhi (upon him be mercy) says: This hadith is Hasan Sahih.
Urdu Translation
حضرت انس رضی اللہ تعالیٰ عنہ فرماتے ہیں: رسول اللہ صلی اللہ تعالیٰ علیہ وآلہ وسلم نے اپنی ازواجِ مطہرات سے ایک ماہ کے لیے ایلاء فرمایا اور ایک بالاخانے میں انتیس دن قیام فرمایا۔ صحابۂ کرام نے عرض کیا: یا رسول اللہ! آپ نے تو ایک مہینے کا ایلاء فرمایا تھا۔ تو آپ صلی اللہ تعالیٰ علیہ وآلہ وسلم نے ارشاد فرمایا: "مہینہ انتیس (دن) کا بھی ہوتا ہے۔" امام ترمذی رحمۃ اللہ تعالیٰ علیہ فرماتے ہیں: یہ حدیث حسن صحیح ہے۔
