حَدَّثَنَا قُتَيْبَةُ حَدَّثَنَا اللَّيْثُ بْنُ سَعْدٍ عَنْ أَبِي الزُّبَيْرِ عَنْ جَابِرٍ أَنَّهُ قَالَ جَاءَ عَبْدٌ فَبَايَعَ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ عَلَى الْهِجْرَةِ وَلَا يَشْعُرُ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ أَنَّهُ عَبْدٌ فَجَاءَ سَيِّدُهُ فَقَالَ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ بِعْنِيهِ فَاشْتَرَاهُ بِعَبْدَيْنِ أَسْوَدَيْنِ وَلَمْ يُبَايِعْ أَحَدًا بَعْدُ حَتَّى يَسْأَلَهُ أَعَبْدٌ هُوَ قَالَ وَفِي الْبَاب عَنْ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ قَالَ أَبُو عِيسَى حَدِيثُ جَابِرٍ حَدِيثٌ حَسَنٌ غَرِيبٌ صَحِيحٌ لَا نَعْرِفُهُ إِلَّا مِنْ حَدِيثِ أَبِي الزُّبَيْرِ.
English Translation
Hadrat Jabir (may Allah be well pleased with him) narrated: 'A slave came and gave the pledge of allegiance to the Beloved Messenger of Allah (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) for Hijrah (migration), and the Noble Prophet (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) did not realize that he was a slave. Then his master came, so the Noble Prophet (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) stated: Sell him to me. So he purchased him for two black slaves, and after that he would not accept the pledge from anyone until he asked whether he was a slave.' In this chapter there is also a narration from Hadrat Ibn Abbas (may Allah be well pleased with him). Abu Isa said: The hadith of Hadrat Jabir is Hasan Gharib Sahih. We only know it through the narration of Abu Az-Zubair.
Urdu Translation
حضرت سمرہ رضی اللہ تعالیٰ عنہ فرماتے ہیں کہ رسول اللہ صلی اللہ تعالیٰ علیہ وآلہ وسلم نے ارشاد فرمایا: ”ہر بچہ عقیقہ کے بدلے گروی رکھا ہوا ہے ۱؎، پیدائش کے ساتویں دن اس کا عقیقہ کیا جائے، اس کا نام رکھا جائے اور اس کے سر کے بال منڈائے جائیں“۔
