Ḥadīth | Ṭabarānī (الطبراني) tabarani:10470 حَدَّثَنَا أَسْلَمُ بْنُ سَهْلٍ الْوَاسِطِيُّ ثنا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ الْفَرَجِ بْنِ كُرْدِيٍّ ثنا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ الْحَجَّاجِ اللَّخْمِيُّ عَنِ الْأَعْمَشِ عَنْ أَبِي وَائِلٍ عَنْ عَبْدِ اللهِ قَالَ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ «لَوْ كَانَ الدِّينُ مُعَلَّقًا بِالثُّرَيَّا لَتَنَاوَلَهُ نَاسٌ مِنْ أَبْنَاءِ فَارِسَ»
English Translation
The Prophet (peace be upon him) said: "A man will be brought on the Day of Resurrection and cast into the Fire. The people of the Fire will say: 'What is wrong with you?' He will say: 'I used to command you to do good but I did not do it, and I used to forbid you from evil but I used to do it.'"
