Ḥadīth | Ṭabarānī (الطبراني) tabarani:9848 حَدَّثَنَا إِسْحَاقُ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ عَنْ عَبْدِ الرَّزَّاقِ عَنِ الثَّوْرِيِّ عَنْ جَابِرٍ عَنْ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ الْأَسْوَدِ عَنِ الْأَسْوَدِ بْنِ يَزِيدَ عَنْ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ مَسْعُودٍ أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ صَلَّى الظُّهْرَ أَوَ الْعَصْرَ خَمْسًا ثُمَّ سَجَدَ سَجْدَتَيِ السَّهْوِ ثُمَّ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ «هَاتَانِ السَّجْدَتَانِ لِمَنْ ظَنَّ أَنَّهُ زَادَ مِنْكُمْ أَوَ نَقَصَ»
English Translation
Abdullah ibn Mas'ud reported that the Prophet (peace be upon him) prayed Dhuhr or Asr with five rak'ahs, then prostrated two prostrations of forgetfulness. Then the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) said: 'These two prostrations are for anyone among you who thinks he has added or omitted [something in prayer].'
