Ḥadīth | Ṭabarānī (الطبراني) tabarani:9653 حَدَّثَنَا إِسْحَاقُ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ عَنْ عَبْدِ الرَّزَّاقِ عَنْ مَعْمَرٍ عَنِ ابْنِ أَبِي نَجِيحٍ عَنْ مُجَاهِدٍ عَنِ ابْنِ مَسْعُودٍ فِي الْخِيَارِ قَالَ «إِنِ اخْتَارَتْ زَوْجَهَا فَلَيْسَ بِشَيْءٍ وَإِنِ اخْتَارَتْ نَفْسَهَا فَهِيَ وَاحِدَةٌ»
English Translation
Ishaq ibn Ibrahim narrated from Abd al-Razzaq, from Ma'mar, from Ibn Abi Najih, from Mujahid, from Ibn Mas'ud regarding the option (given to the wife). He said: 'If she chooses her husband, it counts for nothing. If she chooses herself, it counts as one (divorce).'
