English Translation
A man came to Abdullah and said: 'O Abu Abd al-Rahman, I slept through the Fajr prayer until the sun rose.' Abdullah said: 'Perform wudu as well as you can and pray as well as you can.' The man thought Abdullah had not understood the gravity of what he had done, so he repeated it. Abdullah said: 'Perform wudu as well as you can and pray as well as you can.' The man waited until those around him left, then said it again. Abdullah took his finger, squeezed it, and said: 'You were told so you would understand: perform wudu as well as you can and pray as well as you can.'
