Ḥadīth | Ṭabarānī (الطبراني) tabarani:9255 حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ النَّضْرِ ثنا مُعَاوِيَةُ ثنا زُهَيْرٌ عَنْ أَبِي إِسْحَاقَ عَنِ الْحَارِثِ بْنِ الْأَزْمَعِ عَنْ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ مَسْعُودٍ قَالَ «إِنْ غَسَلَ رَأْسَهُ وَهُوَ جُنُبٌ بِخِطْمِيٍّ فَقَدْ أَبْلَغَ وَلَا يَضُرَّهُ أَنْ لَا يَصُبَّ عَلَيْهِ الْمَاءَ»
English Translation
Abdullah ibn Mas'ud said: 'If he (the one in janabah) washes his head with khitmi (marshmallow plant used as cleanser), that suffices him, and it does not matter if he does not pour water over it.'
