Ḥadīth | Ṭabarānī (الطبراني) tabarani:891 حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَمْرِو بْنِ خَالِدٍ الْحَرَّانِيُّ ثنا أَبِي ثنا زُهَيْرٌ ثنا خَالِدُ بْنُ أَبِي كَرِيمَةَ حَدَّثَنَا مُعَاوِيَةُ بْنُ قُرَّةَ عَنِ الْأَغَرِّ الْمُزَنِيِّ أَنَّ رَجُلًا أَتَى رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ فَقَالَ يَا نَبِيَّ اللهِ إِنِّي أَصْبَحْتُ وَلَمْ أُوتِرْ فَقَالَ «إِنَّمَا الْوِتْرُ بِاللَّيْلِ» قَالَ يَا نَبِيَّ اللهِ إِنِّي أَصْبَحْتُ وَلَمْ أُوتِرْ قَالَ «فَأَوْتِرْ»
English Translation
Al-Agharr al-Muzani narrated that a man came to the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) and said: "O Prophet of Allah, I woke up and had not prayed the Witr." He said: "The Witr is to be prayed at night." He said: "O Prophet of Allah, I woke up and had not prayed the Witr." He said: "Then pray the Witr now."
