Ḥadīth | Ṭabarānī (الطبراني) tabarani:8797 حَدَّثَنَا يُوسُفُ الْقَاضِي ثنا عَمْرُو بْنُ مَرْزُوقٍ أَنَا شُعْبَةُ عَنْ سِمَاكِ بْنِ حَرْبٍ عَنْ رَجُلٍ أَنَّهُ قَالَ اسْتَأْذَنَّا عَلَى عَبْدِ اللهِ بَعْدَ صَلَاةِ الصُّبْحِ فَأَذِنَ لَنَا وَأَلْقَى عَلَى امْرَأَتِهِ قَطِيفَةً وَقَالَ «إِنِّي كَرِهْتُ أَنْ أَحْبِسَكُمْ»
English Translation
A man said: We asked permission to visit Abdullah after the morning prayer, and he gave us permission and threw a garment over his wife, then said: 'I disliked keeping you waiting.'
