Ḥadīth | Ṭabarānī (الطبراني) tabarani:8791 حَدَّثَنَا إِسْحَاقُ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ أَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ أَنَا مَعْمَرٌ عَنِ الْأَعْمَشِ عَنْ شَقِيقٍ قَالَ كُنَّا مَعَ ابْنَ مَسْعُودٍ فِي سَفَرٍ فَلَقِيَ رَكْبًا فَقُلْنَا مَنِ الْقَوْمُ؟ قَالُوا نَحْنُ الْمُؤْمِنُونَ قَالَ ابْنُ مَسْعُودٍ فَهَلْ قَالُوا نَحْنُ أَهْلُ الْجَنَّةِ؟
English Translation
Shaqiq said: We were with Ibn Mas'ud on a journey when he encountered a caravan. We asked: 'Who are the people?' They said: 'We are the believers.' Ibn Mas'ud said: 'Why did they not say: We are the people of Paradise?'
