Ḥadīth | Ṭabarānī (الطبراني) tabarani:8758 حَدَّثَنَا الْأَزْدِيُّ ثنا مُعَاوِيَةُ بْنُ عَمْرٍو ثنا زَائِدَةُ عَنِ الْأَعْمَشِ عَنْ مُسْلِمٍ الْبَطِينِ عَنْ عَدَسَةَ الطَّائِيِّ قَالَ كُنْتُ بِشِرَافَ فَنَزَلَ بِنَا عَبْدُ اللهِ فَبَعَثَنِي إِلَيْهِ أَهْلِي بِأَشْيَاءَ وَجَاءَ غِلْمَةٌ لَنَا كَانُوا فِي الْإِبِلِ مِنْ مَسِيرَةِ أَرْبَعٍ بِطَيْرٍ فَذَهَبْتُ بِهِ إِلَيْهِ فَلَمَّا ذَهَبْتُ بِهِ إِلَيْهِ سَأَلَنِي «مِنْ أَيْنَ جِئْتَنِي بِهَذَا الطَّيْرِ؟» قَالَ قُلْتُ جَاءَ بِهِ غِلْمَانٌ لَنَا كَانُوا فِي الْإِبِلِ مِنْ مَسِيرَةِ أَرْبَعِ لَيَالٍ فَقَالَ عَبْدُ اللهِ «لَوَدِدْتُ أَنِّي حَيْثُ صِيدَ لَا أُكَلِّمُ بِشَيْءٍ بَشَرًا وَلَا يُكَلِّمُنِي حَتَّى أَلْحَقَ بِاللهِ»
English Translation
'Adasah al-Ta'i said: 'Abdullah stopped at our place in Shiraf. My family sent me to him with things. Servants of ours who were with the camels came from four days' journey with birds. I brought them to him, but when he saw the birds, he said: "Did you take these from their nests? Return them to where you found them."
