Ḥadīth | Ṭabarānī (الطبراني) tabarani:8744 حَدَّثَنَا عَلِيُّ بْنُ عَبْدِ الْعَزِيزِ وَبِشْرُ بْنُ مُوسَى قَالَا ثنا أَبُو نُعَيْمٍ ثنا الْأَعْمَشُ عَنْ يَزِيدَ بْنِ حَيَّانَ عَنْ عَنْبَسِ بْنِ عُقْبَةَ قَالَ قَالَ عَبْدُ اللهِ «وَاللهِ الَّذِي لَا إِلَهَ إِلَّا هُوَ مَا عَلَى وَجْهِ الْأَرْضِ شَيْءٌ أَحْوَجُ إِلَى طُولِ سِجْنٍ مِنْ لِسَانٍ»
English Translation
'Abdullah said: "By Allah, besides Whom there is no god, there is nothing on the face of the earth more deserving of long imprisonment than the tongue."
