Ḥadīth | Ṭabarānī (الطبراني) tabarani:8590 حَدَّثَنَا إِسْحَاقُ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ الدَّبَرِيُّ أَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ أَنَا مَعْمَرٌ عَنْ أَبِي إِسْحَاقَ عَنْ سَعِيدِ بْنِ وَهْبٍ قَالَ سَمِعْتُ ابْنَ مَسْعُودٍ يَقُولُ «لَا يَزَالُ النَّاسُ صَالِحِينَ مُتَمَاسِكِينَ مَا أَتَاهُمُ الْعِلْمُ مِنْ أَصْحَابِ مُحَمَّدٍ ﷺ وَمِنْ أَكَابِرِهِمْ فَإِذَا أَتَاهُمْ مِنْ أَصَاغِرِهِمْ هَلَكُوا»
English Translation
Ibn Mas'ud said: "People will remain righteous and united so long as knowledge comes to them from the Companions of Muhammad (peace be upon him) and from their elders. When it comes to them from their juniors, they will perish."
