Ḥadīth | Ṭabarānī (الطبراني) tabarani:8382 حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللهِ بْنُ الصَّقْرِ السُّكَّرِيُّ ثنا بَكْرُ بْنُ خَلَفٍ ثنا عُمَرُ بْنُ سَهْلٍ الْمَازِنِيُّ عَنْ أَبِي حَمْزَةَ الْعَطَّارِ عَنِ الْحَسَنِ قَالَ دُعِي عُثْمَانُ بْنُ أَبِي الْعَاصِ إِلَى طَعَامٍ فَقِيلَ هَلْ تَدْرِي مَا هَذَا؟ هَذَا خِتَانُ جَارِيَةٍ فَقَالَ «هَذَا شَيْءٌ مَا كُنَّا نَرَاهُ عَلَى عَهْدِ رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ» فَأَبَى أَنْ يَأْكُلَ
English Translation
'Uthman ibn Abi al-'As was invited to a meal, and it was said: "Do you know what this is? This is a circumcision feast for a girl." He said: "This is something we did not see during the time of the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him)," and he refused to eat.
