English Translation
The Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) said: "Whoever recites ten verses in a night will not be recorded among the heedless. Whoever recites a hundred verses will have the reward of standing in prayer for a night. Whoever recites two hundred verses will be recorded among the devoutly obedient. Whoever recites four hundred verses will be recorded among the worshippers. Whoever recites five hundred verses will be recorded among those who preserve (the Quran). Whoever recites six hundred verses will be recorded among the humble. Whoever recites eight hundred verses will be recorded among the submissive. And whoever recites a thousand verses will have a qintar (treasure), and a qintar is one thousand and two hundred uqiyyah, and an uqiyyah is better than what is between the heavens and the earth" - or he said: "better than what the sun rises upon." "And whoever recites two thousand verses will be among those who have secured their reward."
