Ḥadīth | Ṭabarānī (الطبراني) tabarani:7704 وَبِإِسْنَادِهِ عَنْ أَبِي أُمَامَةَ قَالَ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ «وُكِّلَ بِالْمُؤْمِنِ تَسْعَوْنَ وَمِئَةُ مَلَكٍ يَذُبُّونَ عَنْهُ مَا لَمْ يَقْدِرْ عَلَيْهِ مِنْ ذَلِكَ النَّفْرِ تِسْعَةُ أَمْلَاكٍ يَذُبُّونَ عَنْهُ كَمَا يُذَبُّ عَنْ قَصْعَةِ الْعَسَلِ مِنَ الذُّبَابِ فِي الْيَوْمِ الصَّائِفِ وَمَا لَوْ بَدَا لَكُمْ لَرَأَيْتُمُوهُ عَلَى جَبَلٍ وَسَهْلٍ كُلُّهُمْ بَاسِطٌ يَدَيْهِ فَاعْرِفَاهُ وَمَا لَوْ وُكِّلَ الْعَبْدُ فِيهِ إِلَى نَفْسِهِ طَرَفَةَ عَيْنٍ خَطَفَتْهُ الشَّيَاطِينُ»
English Translation
Abu Umamah reported: The Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) said, 'One hundred and ninety angels are assigned to the believer, warding off from him what he is unable to ward off himself. From that number, nine angels ward off from him as flies are warded off from a bowl of honey on a summer day. If they were revealed to you, you would see them on every mountain and plain, all with outstretched hands. If the servant were left to himself for the blink of an eye, the devils would snatch him away.'
