Ḥadīth | Ṭabarānī (الطبراني) tabarani:7675 حَدَّثَنَا عَمْرُو بْنُ إِسْحَاقَ بْنِ إِبْرَاهِيمَ بْنِ الْعَلَاءِ بْنِ زِبْرِيقٍ الْحِمْصِيُّ ثنا أَبِي ح وحَدَّثَنَا عُمَارَةُ بْنُ وَثِيمَةَ الْمِصْرِيُّ وعَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنُ مُعَاوِيَةَ الْعُتْبِيُّ الْمِصْرِيُّ قَالَا ثنا إِسْحَاقُ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ بْنِ زِبْرِيقٍ الْحِمْصِيُّ ثنا عَمْرُو بْنُ الْحَارِثِ ثنا عَبْدُ اللهِ بْنُ سَالِمٍ عَنِ الزُّبَيْدِيِّ ثنا سُلَيْمُ بْنُ عَامِرٍ أَنَّهُ سَمِعَ أَبَا أُمَامَةَ يَقُولُ إِنَّ رَجُلًا أَتَى رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ فَقَالَ يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ أَقِمْ فِيَّ حَدَّ اللهِ مَرَّةً أَوْ ثِنْتَيْنِ فَأَعْرَضَ عَنْهُ ثُمَّ أُقِيمَتِ الصَّلَاةُ فَلَمَّا فَرَغَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ مِنَ الصَّلَاةِ قَالَ «أَيْنَ الْقَائِلُ أَقِمْ فِيَّ حَدَّ اللهِ؟» قَالَ أَنَا ذَا قَالَ «أَتْمَمْتَ الْوُضُوءَ وَصَلَّيْتَ مَعَنَا الْعِشَاءَ؟» قَالَ نَعَمْ قَالَ «فَإِنَّكَ مِنْ خَطِيئَتِكَ كَمَا وَلَدَتْكَ أُمُّكَ فَلَا تَعُدْ» وَأَنْزَلَ اللهُ ﷻ {أَقِمِ الصَّلَاةَ طَرَفَيِ النَّهَارِ وَزُلَفًا مِنَ اللَّيْلِ}
English Translation
Abu Umamah reported: A man came to the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) and said, 'O Messenger of Allah, establish the punishment of Allah upon me,' once or twice. He turned away from him. Then the prayer was established, and when the Messenger of Allah finished the prayer, he said, 'Where is the one who said: Establish the punishment of Allah upon me?' He said, 'Here I am.' He said, 'Did you complete your ablution and pray the Isha prayer with us?' He said, 'Yes.' He said, 'Indeed you are free from your sin as the day your mother bore you, so do not do it again.' And Allah revealed: {Establish prayer at the two ends of the day and at the approach of the night.}'
