Ḥadīth | Ṭabarānī (الطبراني) tabarani:7673 حَدَّثَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ الْوَهَّابِ بْنِ نَجْدَةَ الْحَوْطِيُّ ثنا أَبُو الْيَمَانِ ثنا إِسْمَاعِيلُ بْنُ عَيَّاشٍ عَنْ صَفْوَانَ بْنِ عَمْرٍو عَنْ سُلَيْمِ بْنِ عَامِرٍ قَالَ كُنَّا نَجْلِسُ إِلَى أَبِي أُمَامَةَ الْبَاهِلِيِّ فَيُحَدِّثُنَا حَدِيثًا كَثِيرًا عَنْ رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ فَإِذَا سَكَتَ قَالَ «أَعَقِلْتُمْ؟ بَلِّغُوا كَمَا بُلِّغْتُمْ»
English Translation
Abu Umamah al-Bahili reported: We used to sit with Abu Umamah al-Bahili, and he would narrate many hadiths from the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him). When he became silent, he would say, 'Have you understood? Convey as you have been conveyed to.'
