حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو الزِّنْبَاعِ ثنا يَحْيَى بْنُ بُكَيْرٍ عَنِ اللَّيْثِ بْنِ سَعْدٍ قَالَ «قُتِلَ أَمِيرُ الْمُؤْمِنِينَ عُمَرُ ؓ مَصْدَرَ الْحَاجِّ وَذَلِكَ فِي سَنَةِ ثَلَاثٍ وَعِشْرِينَ» «قُتِلَ أَمِيرُ الْمُؤْمِنِينَ عُمَرُ ؓ مَصْدَرَ الْحَاجِّ وَذَلِكَ فِي سَنَةِ ثَلَاثٍ وَعِشْرِينَ»
English Translation
The Commander of the Faithful Umar was killed at the departure time of the pilgrims, and that was in the year twenty-three.
