Ḥadīth | Ṭabarānī (الطبراني) tabarani:7146 حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللهِ بْنُ أَحْمَدَ بْنِ حَنْبَلٍ ثنا هُدْبَةُ بْنُ خَالِدٍ ثنا حَمَّادُ بْنُ سَلَمَةَ ثنا أَشْعَثُ بْنُ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ الْجَرْمِيُّ عَنْ أَبِي قِلَابَةَ عَنْ أَبِي أَسْمَاءَ عَنْ شَدَّادِ بْنِ أَوْسٍ قَالَ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ «إِنَّ اللهَ ﷻ كَتَبَ كِتَابًا قَبْلَ أَنْ يَخْلُقَ السَّمَاوَاتِ وَالْأَرْضَ بِأَلْفَيْ عَامٍ وَأَنْزَلَ فِيهِ آيَتَيْنِ خَتَمَ بِهِمَا سُورَةَ الْبَقَرَةِ لَا يُقْرَآنِ فِي دَارٍ ثَلَاثَ لَيَالٍ فَيَقْرَبَهَا شَيْطَانٌ»
English Translation
Shaddad ibn Aws said: The Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) said: 'O Allah, I ask You for steadfastness in the matter, determination in guidance, gratitude for Your blessings, excellent worship of You, a truthful tongue, a sound heart. I seek refuge with You from the evil of what You know, and I ask You for the good of what You know, and I seek Your forgiveness for what You know. Indeed, You are the Knower of the unseen.'
