Ḥadīth | Ṭabarānī (الطبراني) tabarani:7037 حَدَّثَنَا مُوسَى بْنُ هَارُونَ ثنا مَرْوَانُ بْنُ جَعْفَرٍ ثنا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ ثنا جَعْفَرُ بْنُ سَعْدِ بْنِ سَمُرَةَ عَنْ خُبَيْبِ بْنِ سُلَيْمَانَ بْنِ سَمُرَةَ عَنْ أَبِيهِ عَنْ سَمُرَةَ بْنِ جُنْدُبٍ ؓ قَالَ كَانَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ يَقُولُ لَنَا «إِذَا قَاتَلْتُمُ الْمُشْرِكِينَ فَاقْتُلُوا شُيُوخَهُمْ فَإِنَّ أَلْيَنَهُمْ قُلُوبًا شَرْخُهُمْ»
English Translation
The Prophet (peace be upon him) said: 'The best of what a man leaves behind after him are three things: a righteous child who supplicates for him, ongoing charity whose reward reaches him, and knowledge that is acted upon after him.'
