Ḥadīth | Ṭabarānī (الطبراني) tabarani:679 حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو مُسْلِمٍ الْكَشِّيُّ ثنا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللهِ الْأَنْصَارِيُّ حَدَّثَنِي أَبِي عَنْ ثُمَامَةَ قَالَ كَانَ أَنَسٌ ؓ يَجْلِسُ وَيُطْرَحُ لَهُ فِرَاشٌ يَجْلِسُ عَلَيْهِ وَيَرْمِي وَلَدَهُ بَيْنَ يَدَيْهِ فَخَرَجَ عَلَيْنَا يَوْمًا وَنَحْنُ نَرْمِي فَقَالَ «يَا بَنِيَّ بِئْسَ مَا تَرْمُونَ» ثُمَّ أَخَذَ فَرَمَى «فَمَا أَخْطَأَ الْقِرْطَاسَ»
English Translation
Thumamah narrated: Anas used to sit on a mat spread for him and let his children play in front of him. One day he came out to us while we were throwing (stones or arrows) and said: "O my children, what poor throwing!" Then he took over and threw, and "he did not miss the target."
