Ḥadīth | Ṭabarānī (الطبراني) tabarani:639 حَدَّثَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللهِ الْبَزَّارُ التُّسْتَرِيُّ ثنا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ يَزِيدَ الْأَسْفَاطِيُّ ثنا صَفْوَانُ بْنُ هُبَيْرَةَ ثنا عِيسَى بْنُ الْمُسَيَّبِ الْبَجَلِيُّ الْقَاضِي عَنِ الشَّعْبِيِّ عَنِ الْأَشْعَثِ بْنِ قَيْسٍ قَالَ لَقَدِ اشْتَرَيْتُ يَمِينِي مَرَّةً بِسَبْعِينَ أَلْفًا وَذَلِكَ أَنِّي سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ يَقُولُ «مَنِ اقْتَطَعَ حَقَّ مُسْلِمٍ بِيَمِينٍ لَقِيَ اللهَ ﷻ وَهُوَ عَلَيْهِ غَضْبَانُ»
English Translation
Al-Ash'ath ibn Qays said: "I once bought my oath for seventy thousand (dirhams), because I heard the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) say: 'Whoever seizes the property of a Muslim by a false oath, Allah will make the Fire obligatory for him and forbid Paradise for him.' A man said: 'Even if it is something small?' He said: 'Even if it is a twig from an arak tree.'"
