Ḥadīth | Ṭabarānī (الطبراني) tabarani:6319 حَدَّثَنَا عَلِيُّ بْنُ عَبْدِ الْعَزِيزِ وَأَبُو مُسْلِمٍ الْكَشَّيُّ قَالَا ثنا حَجَّاجُ بْنُ الْمِنْهَالِ ثنا مُعْتَمِرُ بْنُ سُلَيْمَانَ قَالَ سَمِعْتُ دَاوُدَ بْنَ أَبِي هِنْدَ يُحَدِّثُ عَنِ الشَّعْبِيِّ عَنْ عَلْقَمَةَ بْنِ قَيْسٍ عَنْ سَلَمَةَ بْنِ يَزِيدَ قَالَ أَتَيْتُ أَنَا وَأَخِي رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ فَقُلْنَا يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ إِنَّ أَمَّنَا فِي الْجَاهِلِيَّةِ كَانَتْ تَقْرِي الضَّيْفَ وَتَصِلُ الرَّحِمَ هَلْ يَنْفَعُهَا مِنْ عَمَلِهَا ذَلِكَ شَيْءٌ؟ قَالَ «لَا» فَقُلْنَا إِنَّهَا وَأَدَتْ أُخْتًا لَنَا لَمْ تَبْلُغِ الْحِنْثَ؟ فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ «الْمَوْءُودَةُ وَالْوَائِدَةُ فِي النَّارِ إِلَّا أَنْ تُدْرِكَ الْوَائِدَةُ الْإِسْلَامَ فَتُسْلِمَ»
English Translation
Salamah ibn Yazid al-Ju'fi said: "My father went with my brother to the Prophet (peace be upon him) and said: 'O Messenger of Allah, my mother Mulaikah used to maintain ties of kinship, be hospitable to guests, and she died during the pre-Islamic period. She had buried a daughter of hers alive. Will that benefit her?' He said: 'Neither she who was buried nor she who buried her is in Paradise.' He said: 'She had also buried a girl of mine alive.' He said: 'The one who was buried is in Paradise.'"
