Ḥadīth | Ṭabarānī (الطبراني) tabarani:601 حَدَّثَنَا إِبْرَاهِيمُ بْنُ دُحَيْمٍ الدِّمَشْقِيُّ ثنا أَبِي ح وَحَدَّثَنَا عَبْدَانُ بْنُ أَحْمَدَ ثنا دُحَيْمٌ الدِّمَشْقِيُّ ثنا مَرْوَانُ بْنُ مُعَاوِيَةَ ثنا أَبُو سَعِيدِ بْنُ عَوْنٍ الْمَكِّيُّ عَنْ عُثْمَانَ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ أَوْسٍ الثَّقَفِيِّ عَنْ جَدِّهِ قَالَ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ «قِرَاءَةُ الرَّجُلِ الْقُرْآنَ فِي غَيْرِ الْمُصْحَفِ أَلْفُ دَرَجَةٍ وَقِرَاءَتُهُ فِي الْمُصْحَفِ يُضَاعَفُ عَلَى ذَلِكَ إِلَى أَلْفَيْ دَرَجَةٍ»
English Translation
Aws narrated from his grandfather that the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) said: "A man's recitation of the Quran without the mushaf earns a thousand degrees, and his recitation from the mushaf is multiplied upon that to two thousand degrees."
