Ḥadīth | Ṭabarānī (الطبراني) tabarani:6093 حَدَّثَنَا إِدْرِيسُ بْنُ جَعْفَرٍ الْعَطَّارُ الْبَغْدَادِيُّ ثنا شُجَاعُ بْنُ الْوَلِيدِ عَنْ قَابُوسِ بْنِ أَبِي ظَبْيَانَ عَنْ أَبِيهِ عَنْ سَلْمَانَ ؓ قَالَ قَالَ لِي رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ «يَا سَلْمَانُ لَا تَبْغَضْنِي فَتُفَارِقَ دِينَكَ» قُلْتُ وَكَيْفَ أَبْغَضُكَ وَبِكَ هَدَانِي اللهُ؟ قَالَ «لَا تَبْغَضِ الْعَرَبَ فَتَبْغَضَنِي»
English Translation
The Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) said: "O Salman, do not hate me, for then you would leave your religion." I said: "How could I hate you when through you Allah guided me?" He said: "Do not hate the Arabs, for then you would hate me."
