English Translation
Sahl ibn Sa'd al-Sa'idi narrated that a man peeked through a hole in the door of the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him), and the Messenger of Allah had a comb with which he was combing or scratching his head. He said: "If I had known you were watching me, I would have thrust it into your eye. Seeking permission was only ordained because of the gaze."
