Ḥadīth | Ṭabarānī (الطبراني) tabarani:4223 حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللهِ الْحَضْرَمِيُّ ثنا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عِمْرَانَ بْنِ أَبِي لَيْلَى حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو شَيْبَةَ عَنِ الْحَكَمِ قَالَ قَالَ عَمَّارٌ «كُنَّا مَعَ رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ ثَلَاثَةً كُلُّنَا أَضْبَطُ» قِيلَ لِأَبِي شَيْبَةَ مَا الْأَضْبَطُ؟ قَالَ «الَّذِي يَعْمَلُ بِيَدَيْهِ ذُو الشِّمَالَيْنِ وَعُمَرُ بْنُ الْخَطَّابِ وَأَبُو لَيْلَى»
English Translation
'Ammar said: "There were three of us with the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him), all of us ambidextrous." It was said to Abu Shaybah: "What does ambidextrous mean?" He said: "One who works with both hands — Dhu al-Shimalayn, 'Umar ibn al-Khattab, and Abu Layla."
