English Translation
Khuraym ibn Fatik reported from the Prophet (peace be upon him), who said: "People are of four types and deeds are of six types. Among them is one given abundance in this world and the Hereafter, one given abundance in this world and restriction in the Hereafter, one given restriction in this world and abundance in the Hereafter, and one wretched in both this world and the Hereafter. The deeds are: two that are obligating, like for like, ten-fold, and seven hundred-fold. The two obligating ones: whoever dies not associating anything with Allah enters Paradise, and whoever dies associating [something] with Allah enters the Fire. Whoever intends a bad deed and does not do it, a good deed is recorded for him. Whoever does it, one bad deed is recorded for him. Whoever intends a good deed and does not do it, a good deed is recorded for him; and if he does it, ten-fold is recorded for him. And spending in the cause of Allah is seven hundred-fold."
