Ḥadīth | Ṭabarānī (الطبراني) tabarani:4013 حَدَّثَنَا إِسْحَاقُ بْنُ دَاوُدَ الصَّوَّافُ التُّسْتَرِيُّ ثنا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ يَزِيدَ الْأَسْفَاطِيُّ ثنا فُضَيْلُ بْنُ عَبْدِ الْوَهَّابِ حَدَّثَنَا شَرِيكٌ عَنْ عَمَّارٍ الدُّهْنِيِّ عَنِ الْحَكَمِ بْنِ عُتَيْبَةَ عَنْ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ أَبِي لَيْلَى عَنْ أَبِي أَيُّوبَ قَالَ أَصَبْتُ جِنِّيَّةً فَقَالَتْ لِي دَعْنِي وَلَكَ عَلَيَّ أَنْ أُعَلِّمَكَ شَيْئًا إِذَا قُلْتَهُ لَمْ يَضُرَّكَ مِنَّا أَحَدٌ قَالَ قُلْتُ مَا هُوَ؟ قَالَتْ آيَةُ الْكُرْسِيِّ {اللهُ لَا إِلَهَ إِلَّا هُوَ الْحَيُّ الْقَيُّومُ} فَذَكَرْتُ ذَلِكَ لِلنَّبِيِّ ﷺ فَقَالَ «صَدَقَتْ وَهِي كَذُوبٌ»
English Translation
Abu Ayyub said: "I caught a female jinn, and she said: 'Let me go and I will teach you something — if you say it, none of us will harm you.' I said: 'What is it?' She said: 'Ayat al-Kursi: Allah, there is no deity except Him, the Ever-Living, the Sustainer of existence.' I mentioned that to the Prophet (peace be upon him), and he said: 'It spoke the truth, though it is a liar.'"
