حَرَامُ بْنُ مِلْحَانَ الْأَنْصَارِيُّ «خَالُ أَنَسِ بْنِ مَالِكٍ ؓ، اسْتُشْهِدُ مَعَ الْقُرَّاءِ السَّبْعِينَ الَّذِينَ بَعَثَهُمْ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ إِلَى الْمُنْذِرِ بْنِ عَمْرِو بْنِ سَاوَى لَمَّا أُصِيبَ خُبَيْبٌ وَأَصْحَابُهُ قَتَلَتْهُمْ بَنُو سُلَيْمٍ» حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللهِ الْحَضْرَمِيُّ ثنا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ مَرْزُوقٍ ثنا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللهِ الْأَنْصَارِيُّ حَدَّثَنِي أَبِي عَنْ ثُمَامَةَ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ أَنَسٍ عَنْ أَنَسٍ أَنَّ نَاسًا مِنْ قَيْسٍ أَتَوُا النَّبِيَّ ﷺ فَسَأَلُوهُ أَنْ يَبْعَثَ مَعَهُمْ نَاسًا يُعَلِّمُونَهُمُ الْقُرْآنَ فَبَعَثَ مَعَهُمْ سَبْعِينَ رَجُلًا مِنَ الْأَنْصَارِ مِنْهُمْ حَرَامُ بْنُ مِلْحَانَ خَالُ أَنَسٍ فَغَدَرُوا بِهِمْ فَقَتَلُوهُمْ.
English Translation
Haram ibn Milhan al-Ansari - the maternal uncle of Anas ibn Malik (may Allah be pleased with him) - was martyred with the seventy Quran reciters whom the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) sent to al-Mundhir ibn 'Amr ibn Sawa when Khubayb and his companions were killed. Banu Sulaym killed them. From Anas: Some people from Qays came to the Prophet (peace be upon him) and asked him to send people with them to teach them the Quran. So he sent seventy men from the Ansar, among them Haram ibn Milhan, the uncle of Anas. They betrayed them and killed them.
