English Translation
Narrated al-Harith ibn Hisham: I asked the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him), 'How does revelation come to you?' He said, 'It comes to me with a ringing like the ringing of a bell, and sometimes it comes in the form of a man who speaks to me, and that is easier on me. Then it leaves me after I have grasped it.'
