Ḥadīth | Ṭabarānī (الطبراني) tabarani:304 حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللهِ بْنُ أَحْمَدَ بْنِ حَنْبَلٍ ثنا أَبِي ثنا نُوحُ بنُ يَزِيدَ ثنا إِبْرَاهِيمُ بْنُ سَعْدٍ قَالَ «تُوُفِّيَ سَعْدُ بْنُ أَبِي وَقَّاصٍ فِي زَمَنِ مُعَاوِيَةَ ؓ بَعْدَ حَجَّتِهِ الْأُولَى وَهُوَ ابْنُ ثَلَاثٍ وَثَمَانِينَ»
English Translation
Sa'd ibn Abi Waqqas said: I asked the Prophet (peace be upon him): 'Which people face the most severe trials?' He said: 'The prophets, then the next best, then the next best. A person is tried according to his level of faith.'
