Ḥadīth | Ṭabarānī (الطبراني) tabarani:218 حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى بْنُ عُثْمَانَ بْنِ صَالِحٍ ثنا سُلَيْمَانُ بْنُ أَيُّوبَ حَدَّثَنِي أَبِي عَنْ جَدِّي عَنْ مُوسَى بْنِ طَلْحَةَ عَنْ أَبِيهِ قَالَ لَمَّا كَانَ يَوْمُ أُحُدٍ سَمَّانِي النَّبِيُّ ﷺ طَلْحَةَ الْخَيْرِ وَيَوْمَ غَزْوَةِ ذَاتِ الْعَشِيرَةِ طَلْحَةَ الْفَيَّاضَ وَيَوْمَ حُنَيْنٍ طَلْحَةَ الْجُودِ
English Translation
On the Day of Uhud, the Prophet (peace be upon him) named me Talhah al-Khayr (Talhah the Good), on the day of the expedition of Dhat al-Ashirah he named me Talhah al-Fayyad (Talhah the Generous), and on the day of Hunayn he named me Talhah al-Jud (Talhah of Munificence).
