Ḥadīth | Ṭabarānī (الطبراني) tabarani:1890 حَدَّثَنَا سُلَيْمَانُ بْنُ الْحَسَنِ الْعَطَّارُ ثنا عُبَيْدُ اللهِ بْنُ مُعَاذٍ حَدَّثَنِي أَبِي ثنا شُعْبَةُ عَنْ سِمَاكِ بْنِ حَرْبٍ سَمِعَ جَابِرَ بْنَ سَمُرَةَ قَالَ «كَانَتْ شَيْبُ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ إِذَا سَرَّحَ لِحْيَتَهُ أَظُنُّهُ قَالَ ودَهَنَهَا لَمْ يَتَبَيَّنْ وَإِذَا تَرَكَهَا تَبَيَّنَ»
English Translation
Jabir ibn Samurah said: "The Prophet (peace be upon him) used to recite in the Dhuhr prayer 'By the night when it covers,' and in the 'Asr prayer something similar to that, and in the Fajr prayer something longer."
