Ḥadīth | Ṭabarānī (الطبراني) tabarani:1707 حَدَّثَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ زُهَيْرٍ التُّسْتَرِيُّ ثنا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عُثْمَانَ بْنِ كَرَامَةَ ثنا عُبَيْدُ اللهِ بْنُ مُوسَى عَنْ حَسَنِ بْنِ صَالِحٍ عَنِ الْأَسْوَدِ عَنْ جُنْدُبٍ قَالَ أَصَابَ رِجْلَ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ حَجَرٌ فَدُمِيَتْ فَقَالَ «هَلْ أَنْتِ إِلَّا إِصْبَعٌ دُمِيتِ وَفِي سَبِيلِ اللهِ مَا لَقِيتِ»
English Translation
Jundub ibn 'Amir said: We came to the Prophet (peace be upon him) and stayed with him until we were quite comfortable. Then we missed our families and asked the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) about our families. He said: "Return to your families, stay with them, teach them, and command them. Pray as you have seen me pray. When the time for prayer comes, let one of you give the call to prayer, and let the eldest among you lead the prayer."
