English Translation
A man from Banu Fazarah brought lizards (dabb) that he had caught to the Prophet (peace be upon him). The Prophet began turning one of them over in his hands and said: "A nation was transformed (into animals)." And to the best of my knowledge he said: "I do not know what happened to them, and I do not know — perhaps this is one of them."
