Ḥadīth | Ṭabarānī (الطبراني) tabarani:12327 حَدَّثَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ دَاوُدَ الْمَكِّيُّ ثنا عَمْرُو بْنُ مَرْزُوقٍ أنا شُعْبَةُ عَنِ الْأَعْمَشِ عَنْ مُسْلِمٍ الْبَطِينِ عَنْ سَعِيدِ بْنِ جُبَيْرٍ عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ عَنِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ قَالَ «مَا الْعَمَلُ فِي أَيَّامٍ أَفْضَلُ مِنْهُ فِي عَشْرِ ذِي الْحِجَّةِ» قَالُوا يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ وَلَا الْجِهَادُ فِي سَبِيلِ اللهِ قَالَ «وَلَا الْجِهَادُ فِي سَبِيلِ اللهِ إِلَّا أَنْ يَخْرُجَ رَجُلٌ بِنَفْسِهِ وَمَالِهِ ثُمَّ لَا يَرْجِعُ مِنْ ذَلِكَ بِشَيْءٍ»
English Translation
Ibn Abbas narrated from the Prophet ♂ who said: "No deeds are more virtuous than those done during the ten days of Dhul-Hijjah." They said: "O Messenger of Allah, not even jihad in the cause of Allah?" He said: "Not even jihad in the cause of Allah, unless a man goes out with his life and wealth and does not return with anything."
