Ḥadīth | Ṭabarānī (الطبراني) tabarani:1187 حَدَّثَنَا عَلِيُّ بْنُ عَبْدِ الْعَزِيزِ ثنا سُلَيْمَانُ بْنُ أَحْمَدَ الْوَاسِطِيُّ ثنا الْوَلِيدُ بْنُ مُسْلِمٍ حَدَّثَنِي سُلَيْمَانُ بْنُ مُوسَى أَنَّ بُدَيْلَ بْنَ بِشْرِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ سَلَمَةَ بْنِ بُدَيْلِ بْنِ وَرْقَاءَ أَخْبَرَهُ قَالَ أَخْبَرَنِي جَدِّي عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ سَلَمَةَ عَنْ أَبِيهِ عَنْ بُدَيْلِ بْنِ وَرْقَاءَ أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ دَخَلَ فِي حَفْلَةٍ يَوْمَ الْحُدَيْبِيَةِ خُزَاعَةَ وَكَتَبَ إِلَيْهِمْ وَإِلَى بُدَيْلِ بْنِ وَرْقَاءَ وسَرَوَاتِ بَنِي عَمْرٍو «سَلَامٌ عَلَيْكُمْ؛ فَإِنِّي أَحْمَدُ إِلَيْكُمِ اللهَ الَّذِي لَا إِلَهَ إِلَّا هُوَ أَمَّا بَعْدُ فَإِنِّي لَمْ أَثِمْ بَالَكُمْ وَلَمْ أَضَعْ فِي جَنْبِكُمْ وَإِنَّ أَكْرَمَ أَهْلِ تِهَامَةِ عَلِيَّ لَأَنْتُمْ وَمَنْ تَبِعَكُمْ مِنَ الْمُطَيَّبِينَ وَقَدْ أَخَذْتُ لِمَنْ هَاجَرَ مِنْكُمْ مِثْلَ مَا أَخَذْتُ لِنَفْسِي وَلَوْ هَاجَرَ بِأَرْضِهِ غَيْرَ سَاكِنٍ مَكَّةَ وإِنَّكُمْ غَيْرُ خَائِفِينَ مِنْ قِبَلِي وَلَا مُخَوَّفِينَ» هَذَا أَوْ نَحْوُهُ
English Translation
Budayl ibn Warqa' narrated that the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) entered into an assembly of Khuza'ah on the day of al-Hudaybiyyah and wrote to them and to Budayl ibn Warqa' and the chiefs of Banu 'Amr: "Peace be upon you. I praise Allah to you, beside whom there is no god. As for what follows: I have not neglected you nor diminished your rights. The most honored people of Tihamah to me are you and those who follow you from the Mutayyabin. I have granted those who emigrated from among you the same as I granted myself, even if he emigrates with his land without residing in Makkah. You are not to fear from my side, nor to be threatened."
