Ḥadīth | Ṭabarānī (الطبراني) tabarani:12083 حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللهِ الْحَضْرَمِيُّ ثنا أَبُو بَكْرِ بْنُ أَبِي شَيْبَةَ ثنا حَفْصُ بْنُ غِيَاثٍ عَنِ الْحَجَّاجِ عَنِ الْحَكَمِ عَنْ مِقْسَمٍ عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ قَالَ «كَانَ عِدَّةُ أَهْلِ بَدْرٍ ثَلَاثَمِائَةٍ وَثَلَاثَةَ عَشَرَ وَكَانَ الْمُهَاجِرُونَ نَيِّفًا وَسِتِّينَ رَجُلًا وَكَانَتِ الْأَنْصَارُ مِائَتَيْنِ وَسِتَّةً وَثَلَاثِينَ رَجُلًا وَكَانَ صَاحِبُ رَايَةِ الْمُهَاجِرِينَ عَلِيَّ بْنَ أَبِي طَالِبٍ ؓ وَصَاحِبُ رَايَةِ الْأَنْصَارِ سَعْدَ بْنَ عُبَادَةَ ؓ »
English Translation
Ibn Abbas said: 'The number of the people of Badr was three hundred and thirteen. The Muhajirun were over sixty men, and the Ansar were two hundred and thirty-six men. The bearer of the banner of the Muhajirun was Ali ibn Abi Talib (may Allah be pleased with him), and the bearer of the banner of the Ansar was Sa'd ibn Ubadah (may Allah be pleased with him).'
